So, just like everyone, I was having a little COVID fatigue. It was hard for me to keep re-hashing and re-evaluating the COVID situation. I sure that I’m not alone. So, I needed to take a break and not add to the problem, but I am back and will be returning to monthly newsletters.
We are back to keeping you up to date with any changes (related to COVID response) as they occur. It is my hope that we are starting to make headway because I am starting to see events and things popping up. So, I am happy to keep you informed and what I am seeing.
Nothing has really changed since my last email in January, except that current Dane County Face Covering emergency order has been extended to March 1st

But make sure everyone is up to date here is the excerpt from that email.
Unfortunately, we have not made our way out of this pandemic yet. We all thought (or at least hoped) this would be a bad memory by now, but here we are, still in the midst of it. The current variant of this virus is making its rounds through our area. It seems that I should again address how we are going to handle it here at the gym.
So far, any student that has felt sick has let me know and then proceeded to stay home. Some ended up testing positive and some have tested negative. At this point, with the testing becoming harder and harder to get so let’s continue to use common sense.
- If you feel sick, STAY HOME! (We love you and will see you when you get better.)
- While in the gym, always wear your mask. (I know. I’m sick of it too. Do it anyway.)
Here is the short version of the current Official CDC guidelines:
If You Test Positive for COVID-19 (Isolate) – Everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
- Stay home for 5 days.
- If you have no symptoms or your symptoms are resolving after 5 days, you can leave your house.
- Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days.
- (If you have a fever, continue to stay home until your fever resolves.)
If You Were Exposed to Someone with COVID-19 (Quarantine) and . . .
- Have been boosted
- Completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine within the last 6 months
- Completed the primary series of J&J vaccine within the last 2 months
You should:
- Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
- Test on day 5, if possible.
- If you develop symptoms get a test and stay home.
